MISSIONARY WORK We had a good meeting with Jaime Olasava this week. He is doing very well reading the Book of Mormon and pondering. We are a little discouraged with Jose Guzman. He can think of so many reasons why he can’t stop drinking. Addictions are horrible. I am glad I haven’t had to deal with one. We inspected many Elders apartments this week. Some do really well and others….lets just say there is much room for improvement. Saturday we attended a New Years Conference about CLAM Standards of Excellence for 2012. President Baker is an absolutely phenomenal person. He has so much energy, spirit, and is very positive. When he speaks it is so easy to follow him and understand his message. One thing Sister Baker said that I have found to be true is, “No matter where you are in the scriptures, God will meet you there.” Today, Monday, January 2 we attended the Rose Parade in Pasadena with some other senior missionaries. They picked us up at 6:15 this morning. It was another beautiful sunny day in Southern California. The parade is so much more phenomenal to see being there than seeing it on TV. On our way home we stopped and ate at Sizzler. |
What a great mix of missionary work and P-Day activity. We've always wanted to see the Rose Parade in person. We're so happy that you got to see it. Love, Los Petersen - Walt & Eileen
